As part of our efforts to give something back to society, this is an ongoing initiative to promote culture and the arts.
We commission artworks to be created with our Vegetable Crayons from Aomori, and those artworks are exhibited and sold via our website.
Some of the proceeds are then donated to Ashinaga,
a charity that supports children in need.

This exhibition features works created using Vegetable Crayons by 100 artists from Japan and around the world. Invented and produced in Aomori, Vegetable Crayons are a completely new drawing material, made with local fruits and vegetables that would otherwise be discarded, and rice wax, which is a by-product of rice production.
While most people think of crayons as being exclusively for children, the exhibition features works by people of all ages.
Childhood is an important time during which our sensibilities are nurtured and developed, but one of the aims of this exhibition is to give both children and adults a chance to look at the world around them, to touch it and to feel it, and to experience the joys of creativity.
We hope this exhibition conveys the distinctive charm and potential of Vegetable Crayons, and gives people the freedom and the inspiration to express their individuality, its uniqueness and its unlimited possibilities.
